I have had 3 of our children at Kennedy Powell. We have been happy wth the education and the caring teachers here. The whole school works very hard in keepingthe old fashion values alive; respecting others, doing what is right, and giving a good education to all. I especially like that teachers are willing to push the kids who need it but also works hard in helping the kids who are behind to help them from becoming lost.

My daughter has been a student at K-P for 2 years and we love it! My daughter has had so much trouble confussing letters and reading backwards. The staff has been wonderful working with her. The staff makes it a point to encourage the children and teach them to respect each other and rules. We will be moving our of state at the end of the school year and am heart broken to be leaving such an amazing learning enviornment. If you have the chance to have your child attend this school, DO IT! The whole staff is amazing.

We couldn't be happier with what our son is learning at Kennedy-Powell! After going to another outstanding school in a nearby district, I was apprehensive about moving our son to KP, but it has been nothing but a positive experience. All of the staff members are excited about being there, teaching our children! It is a very positive atmosphere with amazing educational opportunities.

My son is a student in this school. He loves it there. The PTO is very involed in making upgrades to the school. The teachers and Ms Moore are the best! I am so glad we got into KP!

K-P is a very unique and special place for kids. My children have attended school there for 8 years, cumulatively. The standards are high and yet, reasonable. It is old-fashioned values that make it stand out from the rest. I wouldn't consider having my children anywhere else in Temple.

As my family continues to research relocating to Houston ISD next school year, I have found this website to be an excellent research tool. I would like to leave a note for others as they might be researching Temple ISD for whatever reasons. My oldest son is a current 5th grader at Kennedy Powell Elementary. He has attended this school since Kindergarten. We have been very pleased with the education and discipline implemented throughout the years. The teachers are excellent; they are easy to communicate with, sincerely care about the students, return phone calls and emails promptly. The support staff compliment each other beautifully. As my son graduates from fifth grade, I feel he leaves with a solid foundation-socially and academically. I'm thankful for the experiences he received during his elementary year.

As a teacher in Temple ISD, I chose to send both of my kids to KP, even though I work at a different elementary school. This is due to the excellent staff, standards of achievement, and wonderful programs offered only at KP. Those who want the best for their kids should send them to KP if they can.

This is not just one of the best schools in the town, it's got to be one of the best in the country! The teachers do everything they can to be involved with the students' learning and helping their families in the process, and they honestly care about everyone in their class. The principal is outstanding and loves the kids. I might have to move to another state because of my husband's job, but I don't want to at all solely because I know I will never find another place where going to computers, art, and science with specialized teachers will not be encouraged as much, and the sense of community with the school will not be felt like it is here! It breaks my heart to think of taking my son out of here. The teachers are incredible and top-notch!:)

We have been very impressed with K-P. The staff is wonderful! The academic, music and arts program are the best in Temple. Participation in programs like Artsonia keep family members involved regardless of location. The PTA is very active and has a large number of members. Access to the well developed website keep parents, and caregivers informed of events.
