We have three kids in Powell and have loved it! The teachers are wonderful and the staff is very caring. We have never had any problems with the school. The parents are involved and the curriculum is challenging. My kids love the school and we, as parents, couldn't agree more.

Powell Elementary has an excellent track record. My personal contact with Powell has been professional and enthusiastic. The teachers are dynamic and creative. They have a plethora of experience when dealing with the needs of children on an individual basis. My son was tested for dyslexia and although he does not meet the disrtict requirements for qualification his teacher is servicing him for dyslexia because she promotes his success. I am so grateful for the wonderful staff at Powell! Thank you!!

Excellent school with professional teachers, staff and principal. Could not be happier with my daughter's experiences at Powell. It doesn't get any better than this!

The teachers, counselors and principals do not know how to handle special needs in the classroom. The effect for my son has been a miserable experience at school. I'm pulling him out.

Great teachers - and they take the time to get to know each child individually. Smaller class sizes.

This school has been a huge disappointment. As a parent of a special needs (autistic and vision impaired) child, I expected more from an exemplary school. We just moved here and the previous non-exemplary school was more equipped and staffed to help my child succeed. This school has only set back my child who absolutely cannot have any more set-backs! They have no idea how to accommodate any special needs students, and that includes the principals and therapists!

We have recently relocated to the area and are very happy with Powell. This was my daughters first year of school and her kindergarden teacher was the Best. I am really going to miss her. She made my daughter feel welcome and comfortable! She has become very confident in all aspects. I feel our family made a great decision by sending our child to this school, and very lucky to have had Mrs. Harris for her kindergarden teacher!

I am a parent of an autistic child and I found the school environment was not suitable for special needs children--to be fair I do not feel that public schools are equipped to meet the specific needs that these children require.
