I don't even know where to begin to tell you what a wonderful school ORCA is. My son has been there since Kindergarten (now in 5th grade) and has loved every year he's been there. The teachers have great relationships with the students and Pastor Jess is a man of God that sets wonderful life examples to the students. The office staff is fabulous and reminds me of a large extended family. In addition to the excellent academics the school offers and providies, ORCA has also helped my child grow in sprit. He prays for his family, friends and the world without hesitation. HIs walk with Christ has been widened and blessed since attending ORCA. With the great tuition rates, the excellent academic program and the true love the faculty and staff show to the students and familiies, ORCA is as close to perfect as you can get with a child's education.

Oak Ridge Christian Academy has been such a blessing to our family! The teachers are fantastic. Each of them, have such a heart for teaching. My daughter is excited about going to school and loves to talk about her day and what she learned as soon as I pick her up. The teachers not only do a wonderful job of educating our children, they help us, as parents, train up our children in the Lord to know what is right and true. God has greatly blessed this school with the leadership of Mr. Duston & Pastor Jess. They both have such a heart for Christian Education and they love the Lord. What more could you ask for, for your greatest treasure, your children.

My son has attended now since kindergarten (in ninth grade). He loves it! What a blessing to have a team of godly folk helping him to Christian maturity. Thanks, ORCA!

This school is very focused on academics and discipline. The discipline policies are very rigid and children are expected to 'obey' at all times. My child reacted very negatively to the environment and I had to remove him. Since this time, I have met several other families that had similar problems at this school. I would not reccomend this school!

ORCA has been a blessing to our family. We removed our daughter from public school and began homeschooling because we did not think private school was obtainable for us. However, with such reasonable rates, we have willingly adjusted our lifestyle to send our daughter to ORCA, and will enroll our youngest daughter next year as well. We have been so pleased with the academic structure and spiritual guidance that our daughter receives. Now our faith doesn't contradict what she's learning in the classroom!

My son has attended ORCA for 6 years now. The love & attention he receives from the staff and teachers cannot be measured in $$$. The spiritual guidance that he receives will have an eternal impact on him & his world. I am very thankful that ORCA is there to partner with us in 'raising our child up in the way he should go'. Pastor Jess is a shining example of what a Christian man should become & my son (or your child) needs that in a world that is so confused about how to relate to others in a fast-paced, hectic (often hostile) world. Is this the perfect school? No. Humans run it. But, those who are looking after our children know that perfect one and it shows in their teaching, their example & their lives. I wish I had an ORCA to attend when I was a child!

My son has attended ORCA since kindergarten. He is a straight A student in a school with HIGH academic standards (probably the highest in Montgomery County). At ORCA it's basically about 2 important things - the student's walk with Christ and their education. No frills, like great sports teams, but there are ample opportunities here in The Woodlands for extracurriculars, so that is not important to me. To hear my 6th grader talk about how much he loves his school & teachers, to have him in a class with a dozen close friends & to hear him share his faith with others is of more value to me that any other thing. Thank you Jesus for Oak Ridge Christian Academy & the support that they give to Christian families!

Academics are very strong at this school. My son has been there for nine years (since Kindergarten) and has done very well academically. Stanford Achievement tests each year have shown that he is at least 2 years ahead the average public school in the majority of his subjects. Music is part of the weekly curriculum for grades Pre-K through 5. 6 - 8 grades take drama classes weekly. Spanish is offered as part of curriculum usually for one-half of the year for grades 3 - 8. Parents are very involved as a requirement. Each family is required to volunteer a total of 20 hours each school year. Fundraising is also a requirement. Great Bible instruction, teacher to student ratio, communication between school staff and parents, and personal attention to each student by the teachers.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
