For education, this school prepared me for college like atmosphere. Some favoritism, but all in all fair across the board. This is a school where you can excel if you put forth effort. If you want to be noticed, you have multiple chances to be noticed. The major problem was that the students wanted a free pass and still do.

I received a great education here. Yes, it is small, but it was like a big family (fights included). I do not regret my time there and I feel that I was well prepared for college after I graduated from here. Those who didn't like it usually were the ones who thought they were better than everyone else and had problems.

I loved going to school there. It isn't any different than being in a larger school, but part of a small clique. There are opportunitites to participate in extra-cirricular activies that you wouldn't necessarily have in a larger school. Most people who do not like it didn't get involved in anything, which is a shame. The con is that Austwell-Tivoli is really small, so everyone is in your business, but I have found that the same is true of the real world.

I graduated from this school a few years ago. I pretty much hated most of the people there. The teachers are unfair. There is to much favoritism in this school. I was just glad to graduate and move away and never have to return back to these two little towns.

If I could go back, and prevent my family from ever moving to this area, I would. Being an outsider was just that in these two towns. I still have relatives who live there, and they have had so many problems with the school, and residants. If someone disagrees with you, then your sons and daughters pay for it. Not just from the their peers, but from the school faculty. Everyone unites, and treats you horribly.

About the tests


In 2012-2013, the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) was used to test students in English language arts and mathematics in grade 11. The grade 11 exit Level TAKS is a high school graduation requirement. TAKS is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Texas. The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard.

The different student groups are identified by the Texas Education Agency; if there are a small number of students in a particular group, the state doesn't report data for that group.
