Not impressed. Very average at best. A dismal 63 percentile rating in the state of Texas. Who is running this place??? Principal Jones seemed to focus on trivial details and not on educational excellence. No sport activities and a bunch of staff that think they are outstanding while they are really just average at best. The ranking demonstrates the lack of effort, professionalism and misguided organization.

Great school and absolutely amazing teachers & staff! My son just started school this year and Pre-K teachers: Ms. Pam and her helping staff turn him from "not-wanting-to" go to school to looking forward to school! Absolutely magical!

Very caring staff that loves what they do. Quality education - feel that my child is learning above and beyond what she needs to know. Each teacher truly cares about the kids in their class. Couldn't ask for a better school

The quality of character of the teachers and staff exceeds the expectations of every parent....it is rare to see all parents thrilled about a school...happy with all aspects.... you could not pay for this type of training at any public or private school.

I've had 3 children go through Lakewood Elementary, and it was a wonderful experience! The staff is very caring with the children and responsive to their needs and those of the parents. The leadership has always been top-notch, and it's been rated Exemplary many, many times through their hard work and effort. I've lived in their area for 23 years to make sure all my kids went to that school. Love LES!

We have a fabulous group of teachers and administration. They truly care about each individual student. Every child at Lakewood has the opportunity to excel. Our PTO is very involved and dedicated to enriching our childrens education.

Lakewood Elementary is a special place ...tucked behind trees and hidden within a residential neighborhood...where most kids still walk or ride the bus a short distance to school. Parents are always welcome and truly have a voice. Our teachers and staff are highly dedicated to giving our children the best education through a safe, loving and positive environment. You will always be greeted with a smile and a friendly hello ...from the secretary-to the janitor-to the principle- or maybe even from a parent volunteer!! Lakewood is a school that deserves recognition!!!!
