I graduated form this school in 20004 and I have to say the school is great from elementary to high school, the teachers a great and they will help you or at least the one I know. Kathy Marshall the yearbook and technology teacher is great, the now counselor Mrs. Martin is a great person and always will help you. It is the best school compared to some others in the area. Small, quite and helps you get a real education. I have seen my education compared to others in the area in I have to say its better..Thanks to all the staff in Troup High

My son has attended this high school for 2 years now and it has been a constant aggravation. To keep it short: The teachers do not call back, If they get the message. If your child does not do sports, well forget him. There is an excellent theatre and band group but you will not see them on the home page website. The guidance counselor is overwhelmed with everything but counseling work. There have been too many teachers come and go just in 2 years for a small school. The new principal I think tries but may have bit off more than he can chew.. so, if you consider this school, Good Luck and your child better like sports. Forget the Code book, it is not enforced with too many issues.

I am not a parent but I am a former student from Troup (Class of 2003) I have to honestly say that the school helped me alot and if it wasn't for the teachers and staff at Troup I wouldn't be who I am today. The sport program is the best and the push you to be the best you can be in whatever you want and I just want to thank Troup Independent School district for making me a stronger woman. If you are looking for a school to send you children TROUP INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT IS THE PLACE!!! TROUP TIGERS FOR LIFE!!!

I have had 3 children in the Troup School district. 2 have graduated. My only issue is the absence policy and some of the changes the new principal has made. Some i think are just a bit much.
