this school is very excellent i strive for the success of these students we have gotten the best out of every school they are the mustangs and im proud to be a parent of one of there many successful students
Significantly better than other other schools our children have attended. They teach not only in a way that lets each child learn, they also teach the practical aspects of home and civic life. Pam was fantastic in providing values and inspiring my children that it is just fine to have values and how to express them with civility.
What an awesome opportunity to have a public school of this magnitude in Tyler. Other than the principal being less than approachable, the fabulous teachers make up for it. I have a child who is a grade level ahead of schedule, and the teachers were awesome with anything he needed. They are very accepting of parental involvement! Thanks for a great first year (6th grade in 2007-2008)
My son has just finished his first year at Moore and I am highly impressed. I believe it to be the premier middle school in Tyler, including comparisons with area private schools. The core academics are quite strong, especially in the magnet program. I am very pleased with this school.
I've only went to this school for about a month because I was moving so much throughout my 7th grade year but this school is actually a really good school. Their schedual, very different and their classes are way advance compared to the other schools I've went to myself. Having been to about 8 middle schools/junior highs this made my top 3 schools. They have an excelent chior program and teachers so I find it really great that the students are outgoing. The core classes do go at a faster paste then other schools but that's a good thing. Though I didn't really like much students there, it's maybe because I only went there for a month so I didn't really get much but an over view of the school.
My child is a 6th grader at Moore MST Magnet School. I was nervous for her to attend this school because I knew they are a recognized school in Texas and have high test scores and success with students but how would that translate to working with the parents? Well so far so good. I had questions about a grade my daughter received on a homework paper and the practices with which to raise said grade. I emailed the teacher and she responded to my email with clarity and generosity. I really appreciate how she took time to respond to a frantic parent and answer all of my questions. Tonight is the first PTA Open House . I will get the opportunity visit with each of my child's teachers and survey the school at the same time. I am impressed. I hope to remain impressed for 2 more years.
Excellent academic programs, teachers, and staff!
Moore does a good job teaching a diverse population in Tyler. The teachers are very concerned about retaining the culture of the school, a culture of discipline, respect, and traditional values. Sometimes the teachers have to lead the administrators! The administrators do a good job looking for new programs and new ways of making things work. The strength of the school is its reputation, the teachers holding dear to the qualities that had made it strong, and the parents who support those traditional school values.
