The best part of this school is the principal and staff. Mrs. Anderson, the principal, has done her best to improve the conditions for our children. She has helped raise the rating from recognized to exemplary. We love her and our school.

After reading the older reviews it is even more apparant how much this school has improved under Mrs. Anderson's leadership. She's raised the level of respect and cooperation among the students and staff. This school has a principal to be proud of.

I'm really excited by Valley Mills Elementary's new Exemplary rating. Everyone involved has done a wonderful job & should be very proud of the work they've done. Congratulations!

Valley Mills school district is small town school district. One would question the leadership in our district. Our kids are what matter and deserve the best education possible. What are we saying to them when we do not carefully choose the right people to be in charge of their education. As a parent, I would like to encourage other parents who care just as much about our children's education as I do, to do a little research about our school district.

There have been some positive changes occuring in the elem. but the fact still remain that admin. and a few teachers seem to have a problem communicating with parents. If a complaint is brought forward it is a fact that the admin and those few teachers take it out on the children & their parents. It is a shame but it happens. The back stabbing is shameful and I've heard these comments by these individuals. All this does is hurt the children, the very ones the admin & teachers are to protect. I am sure other schools have this issue but it sure is a shame. I wish that our this individuals can be professional & deal that situations as adult's & not like a bunch a middle school students. But I can name 13 teachers on campus that are wonderful.bb

The teachers at Valley Mills work hard to teach the Valley Mills kids. However, I think they are hindered by economics constraints. The fact they the first grade class of six to seven years old only get a fifteen minute recess, no structured music class and no full time support for teachers with over 20 students is the shameful. With all the school taxes people pay in Bosque County, it seems that our school systems should be just as good or superior to the surrounding communities. I do not know enough about the system to state any legitimate corrective actions. However; I know that with a little ingenuity and common sense we can give the faculty and staff the resources to make their classrooms a place were teaching can be fun for both the teacher and students.

The leadership at Valley Mills elementary school is extremely poor, as is most of the teaching, the teachers and principal use their power to punish the children of parents they do not like. The goal at this school is not what is best for the child, but what is best for the principal's agenda. The teacher's raved about what a wonderful student my child was all year, bright, intelligent, grades were reflective of that, then the last week of school, they sent a note stating they were going to hold my child back because they had not mastered the course work, even though they had passed all state testing. When the principal was approached the answer was that we can hold back any child we wish. On average they are holding back 10 or more kids out of most classes. Most of them for no good reason other than their own agenda
