Industrial I.S.D. is a superior school district with strong leadership and excellent teachers who help the students succeed. This success includes impressive academic achievement, as well as accomplishments in extracurricular events. This public school offers the quality of education usually found only in a private school.

We moved into this district a couple of years ago. We were impressed with the interim administrator. Then reality struck. The current leadership is terrible. The parents are not encouraged to participate in school activities- school play days, dances, class parties or any other type of yearly activities. Communication is very poor. The community is very receptive to local inhabitants. Generation locals, however new students are treated as outsiders. Ask how many teachers are related and how many have never lived outside of Jackson county. No diversity.

This is a great school! My parents, my husband and I went to school here. Now our children are attending here too. Just wish some of the teachers were a little more friendly! =)

Communication works both ways! Trying giving the teachers a chance -- all you have to do is email them, call them, visit with them, check their websites, look at the three week progress report sent out in the mail. These are outstanding teachers -- just check the TEKS scores!

This is a great school. The only trouble I have had is getting the teachers to keep you updated with my childs progress. Impressive dress code! I hope they keep that up.

This is a great school, that has strong leadership, a great curriculum, and best of all great community involvement. When Industrial competes in any event youd better be ready to see parents, family, and community members out there to support the kids. Great place to go to school and great community to grow up in.
