Vernon High School is a wonderful school. Vernon High School is known throughout the state also for its UIL academic teams and Sport teams. The football team is one of the most winningest teams and top ranked teams in class 3A and has won state in 1990, we've come close many times to the state game since then. Our Tennis team has a state record of 21 consecutive appearances to the State Team Tennis Tournemant; they have 6 State titles under Head Coach Ruben Vargas. We have many UIL academic champions in debate and speech. Also, our One Act Play team has conquered many state titles and district titles to their name under the direction of Brenda Beebe. We have many state titles in othe sports and Uil
