I think things could be better. The lunch lines are out of order, every cutting, yelling, hitting, stealing, and use of profanity. There is food being thrown everywhere in the cafeteria. And in class rooms the teacher needs to pay attention to what's going on, and if something bad happens they need to disipline the one who did it. ALSO what I hate about my school the most is that if someone starts hitting you repeaditly and rapidly and you hit back you BOTH get into trouble....It's an unfair disiplinary system that I think needs to be corrected. If not for me (as I am in the 8th grade) than for all the 6th and 7th graders. The only thing I think is great about our school is our band. We're mighty and proud and play our fingers to the bone. I'm rating the school a 4. Only for band.

I think having the SRO and the Juvenile Probation on Campus to help out. Is great for the kids and the teacher. They both play a major role for the school saftey. I wish that they would have both of them at other schools.

I feel my children received as good a quality education here as is available at any of the middle schools in Victoria. Most of the teachers seemed to be dedicated to helping the students succeed. They have a good band program, art program and most of the sports are available. The students are grouped in clusters, three for each of the 3 grades (6-8). There are honor classes available for those in the GT program. The income level for the student body as a whole is probably below average, with about 40% hispanic, 10% AA and 50 % caucasian. (MY best guess). There is plenty of opportunity for parental involvement though a lot choose not to be involved they do have a fairly strong PTO group. You can be as involved as you would like or have time for. Teacher- student ration is about 22-1 average.
