DeLeon is an awesome school. Being new to Victoria a few years ago, we were told De Leon was one of the best and moved specifically into one of its neighborhoods. We have never regretted that decision. The teachers are caring and loving to our kids. They help instill discipline in a very fair way while still showing the student love and affection. The teachers genuinely care for their students and are help go the extra mile. The administrative staff and principal are always friendly and informative. I'm so happy we moved to this area.

This is one of the best elementary schools in Victoria. The staff is caring and very attentive to each students needs. The parent/ teacher communication is phenomenal. The school events and programs that they hold are excellent for the family interaction in the child's school life. The curriculum is excellent. For each grade I feel my child has really gotten the best educational experience an elementary school can provide. I have relatives around who have children that attend other schools. By their feedback and my own experience I can say hands down this is the best school. Their security measures when a parent is picking up or checking out their child is outstanding as well. I can't sing enough praise about this school.

It is rare that I go online to rate anything, and actually went on line today to send an email to the principal and saw this. I wanted to let the principal know how much my daugher Skylar enjoys her teacher Mr. Villarreal. He has the students call him Mr. V and I believe this is his first year teaching and he is excellent in every regard. My wife is very active with school functions and Mr. V is very easy to get in touch with if needed and answers any questions that you have. My daugher was a little shy at the begining of the year and after she has had Mr. V as her second grade teacher she is excited about learning. She wants to make us happy and her teacher and has done very well this year. He is very patient with the students and treats all his students with respect. My daugher has been at Deleon Elementary since Kindergarden and we are happy that she is attending this elementary school. Everybody that works at the school is very friendly and always has a smile on their face. If you are deciding on an elementary school I would definitely rate Deleon Elementary as excellent and hope that you have the same experience. Thanks

I think it is an excellent school. I attended De Leon and so did my other two sisters. I loved that school so much. Though there aren't really any extracurricular activites, I loved that school. I learned so much there. I even transferred to a private school for 6th and 7th grade and it was all a repeat of my 5th grade year. I think De Leon is s great choice for elementary school!

The teachers at this school are unwilling to go the extra mile to help a student learn. All they seem to care about is the TAKS test. There is no tutoring offered except for the TAKS test. The only extracurricular activities offered except for choir. This is also uncreative due to they sing the same songs every year. This school is also asking parents for money all year long, doing expensive fund raisers, and the PTO spends the money on irrelevent things for the school.
