I had attended this school when I was in 9th and 10th grade. Its not the best school, but i have been to worse. The teachers do their best to work with the students but its the students not the teachers that dont care. If you have never attended this school why talk down on it? I went here and I turned out pretty well. I didnt go to college but I am currently deployed in the military. I really liked this school and I hope to send my kids there in the future.

I graduated from this school in 2002. Whenever I got to college I felt like I was better prepared then a lot of kids. Although parents may disagree with the school system, there really are good kids at Memorial. About half the school is well behaved. The other half is not but you definitley get used to it. Pretty nice school.

As a former student I must say that in 2004 when I graduated it was the biggest relief of my life. Not once did i feel like i achieved anything. I even waited this long to go back to school now I see the education I recieved at memorial was only second rate not worthy of any credit not enough people who care just there for the paycheck.

Ever since consolidation in 2000, the high schools in Victoria have been on a downhill slide. The community was smart enough to boot the foolish school board members that made the terrible decision - but the damage is done. Violence, disrespect, terrible scores and reviews from TEA - we need help! Its really not surprising that many of our friends have opted for home schooling or private schools. And don't even get me started on the internal politics when it comes to sports - its a joke! VISD used to be great, but stick a fork in it - its done now.

Since the consolidation of Victoria High School and Stroman High School discipline problems have been a severe problem. With the large number of students that attend this school they no longer feel a sense of belonging. Many students are no longer able to participate in athletics due to the lack of positions available for such a large student body. Many students have fallen through the cracks and the students get less attention. A school this size goes against recent research that promotes smaller schools for better education and student development. Another mark against this school is the frequent changing of principals in the past few years has prevented the school from forming a strong base around a leader.

As a student, I feel this school is inadequate. There are too many fights and the school is idiotically split into two campuses. I see countless numbers of other students talking about drugs, sex, and violence. If some parents were to know what their kids do, they would be outraged. The teachers I have had, have been adequate, but there are a few who don't teach. The choices of extracurricular activities could be better, but lack funding. I cannot wait to get out!

The high school is overcrowed. The environment is poor, 9 & 10th grade campus needs alot of repairs. A lot of drugs and violence. District dosen't have a consistant drug policy that is district wide. Have served on committees and feel the district dosen't listen to our voice about change that could positively impact the students. Definately need changes in Administration. Very frustrating situation. The pre-advanced placement teachers do a great job, because the kids want to learn. Low turnout to parent night, and other activities by parents. VISD is not an asset to our community unfortunatly, you personlly see to it that your child gets a good education here and be very involved!

If an environment filled with drugs, fights constantly and kids being sexually active all over the place is a perfect school than the Memorial High School Stroman Campus was the cream of the crop.
