I feel very conflicted about not giving my school five stars. The teachers do an amazing job (and I'm not a classroom teacher), but the kids run amok. There is a lack of discipline from administrators so many kids just do whatever the heck they want. The hallways are free-for-alls. If you put your child in honors classes, and if they are a pretty good kid that does their work, they'll get a great education. If you are raising a slacker, unfortunately they will probably keep slacking because the slackers outnumber the good kids five to one.

Pulled my child from a so called "Christian" private school and placed him here. Love it, great kids, awesome teachers, great extra curriculars. Safest campus in Harris County for 8+ years. If you are involved your child will thrive here.

A wonderful school. The principal and staff members have gone above and beyond necessary to help my chilren with any needs they may have. We've been in the district 11 years and would never think about changing.

Waller Junior High has been the safest campus in Harris County for the last seven years. Every year the junior high has made gains in TAKS scores, even when state scores have gone down. The Hispanic sub group outperformed the state scores in the 05-06 school year in nearly every subject. The students also recieved several district titles in athletics as well as UIL competition. 1st place in 2004 & 2005 and 2nd place (by 1.6 points) in 2006 for 18-AAAA UIL Academic Competition. WJH is a safe and academically challenging environment. You should feel pround and confident sending your child to school here.

I pulled my child out of this school! Taks scores are below acceptable and parent participation is zero! Homeschool your child if you have to. You child is not safe in this school.
