Garner is a place where the teachers truly care about each student and do their best to ensure that individuals succeed. For such a small school, a wide variety of activities exist for students. We feel blessed that our kids have such a great educational foundation for their future thanks to their experiences at Garner.
This school is all work and not much play. They push their kids way to hard and there is not time for them to have to just be kids. This is why we are not enrolled any longer.
This is one of the best schools to prepare students for High School. The top students at this school usually excel in High School. I would rate it an 8.
We came from a big school last year and unlike one of the reviews on here i think that the schhol is great. Yes the junior high does need more activities but maybe that is where that parent needs to come in and make suggestions or volunteer to organize it. It is a little school unlike the bigger city school funds are smaller. One thing that was very awesome is that the fifth grade class goes to camp well in the bigger schools the family always has to pay for the camp here at garner the fundraisers actually pay for that which is probably the first time in any school that i have actually seen where all that fundraising money goes, i am glad it went to all those children so that they can have this wonderful experience like we did in 5th grade. There was not a child left out.
Garner ISD is a very unique school in that it is like a little private public school in the country. The staff is excellent and really cares about the students as well as their families.I have two children in the school and wouldn't want them anywhere else.
This school has a friendly atmosphere. I think that most of the people care about one another. The only thinkg Iwas disappointed about was that I wasn't given the opportunity to volunteer in my child's classroom and it wasn't for lack of trying on my part.
I believe that this school is too strict. I think that the rules for elementary should not apply for the junior and vice versa. I think the Junior High kids need more dances and extracurricular activities. Garner school is all work and no play.
