I really believe Sam Houston Elementary is a really great school. The principal is really in tune with the academic needs of the children as well as disciplinary. Teachers have continual training throughout the year and strive to provide the best for our children. And for the most part, they leave an open communication with parents to where they will even give you their emails in order to discuss your childs progress or needs. I really like their specialty classes, they have included Spanish this year which will only help our children . Their extracurricular activities include but no limited too Jump rope, track and field, UIL. They offer so many encouraging events for our children to include an award assembly every six weeks (in which almost 100% get an award), sports day & university day etc (not allowing for a monotonous routine) and most importantly a happy child.
