I love that WCE still feels ike a small town school. As a parent, I am welcome at the school at anytime during the day. All of the teachers are friendly to the parents.

I choose West Columbia Elementary over any other Elementary in Brazoria County! We moved to the district just so my daughter can continue to go to the school. They are very tentive to the kids & I feel that my child is safe attending.

My grandson was in kindergarten last year. There were 22 kids to one teacher, teacher had no help, wish they had a teacher aid to help. My grandson progress was more then I expected. No telling how much more was possible if the teacher did not have to stop to correct problem kid. And at time my grandson did his share. We only had one meeting, what I would call a PTA meeting. wish they had more. Do not think the PT program was up to snuff. Hope the first grader teacher are as good as the kindergarten teacher were.

My child attends West Columbia Elementary. I am not very pleased with the school. The school does not offer educational activities during the day. The school does not offer qualified tutoring for before or after school. The children do not have extracurricular activities to participate in. I do not feel that my child is receiving the education that he is entitled to. I do not feel that the teachers are qualified to do there job. I have not seen any parent involvement at the school.
