My son attended kindergarten this fall and I have to say how impressed I am with the school, from the moment they walk into the cafeteria to the moment they are released - I have nothing but praise for the staff! My son loved going in everyday, his teacher was easy to contact and always responded to my queries promptly, my son knew the principal's name within his first week and could recognise him easily. The personal behaviours promoted by the school and the way in which they do this is excellent and motivates the children to want to be recognised by their teachers and all school staff for their good behaviour. Everyday you see how your child is doing, and can see what they are learning by the homework they bring home. At the end of each week all the work and art etc. is brought home and I loved looking through it with my son and seeing how proud he was of it. As a parent you can join the PTA or volunteer at the school, they are very keen for parents to be involved in their children's education. I write most of this in the past tense as we have since relocated back to the UK, if I could have taken this school with me I would have!!
This is our first year at north and so far the teacher don't seem to care about the students and the staff is rude and my daughter isn't learning anything at this school and trying to schedule a conference is impossible to do I would not recommend this school

What a great school!!!! My son is in Kindergarten at North and he looks forward to school everyday!! They also have an AMAZING speech therapy staff, my son has made wonderful progress. We have exprience with a school outside of this district and its so good to see the kids and staff at North happy to be where they are!!!!!!
It is a great place to work because the kids come first. I love my job.
I have two children at North Elem. We love the staff and teachers. I am also a sub teacher for this district and love being at this school. I have NEVER seen so many teachers who love their jobs as well as the students. My kids love their school! As a former student myself for this school its awesome to see how much it has grown.
This is my second child to have at North Elementary under the same principal, there is not another school that I would rather have my children in. This is my 5 year olds second year in the dual language program.....Thank you to such a wonderful and loving staff and the care that the teachers provide, my 5 year old can not wait for school each day.
I love North Elem. My son is so excited about school. This is his second year in the dual language program and I think it is a great asset to the school. My son loves all the activities:art, recess, music,PE,computer, and going to the library. The principal is very loving with the children and so are the teachers that I've encountered. The teachers went to a workshop over the summer about loving the children from the heart(that they have to capture the children's hearts before they can capture their minds). There is also a big emphasis on parent involvement. The teachers can only do so much without the parents involvment.
My daughter is now a second grader @ North I am so excited and very Satisfied with the experince she is having while she is there she is above where she needs to be academicaly,My youngest daughter is now in the dual language program which is going to be a wonderful benifit for her future. So thank you North keep up the great work.
I am so pleased that North Elementary provides separate art, music and gym classes for their students when so many other schools are canceling these programs.
my son attended north elementary's headstart program and it was an excellent learning experience for both of us. i would highly recommend any parent to look into their child's early education and trust the teachers and faculty at north's headstart program.
We have been dissappointed in North Elementary. They really don't have much to offer as far as extra-curricular activities. The only bright spot is the principal. She is very good with the kids. Unlike the vice principal and the physical education staff. It's sad when your child hates physical education. Even the janitor is a threat to the children's self esteem. ALthough there are some really child friendly teachers it only takes a few bad apples to ruin your child experience. We are looking at private schools for the remaining years of elementary school. I want my children to enjoy chool.
