No motivation for the students to do and be great when OK is equally applauded. The school does nothing to celebrate achievements of the students in the community but does reward fundraising with parties.
This is truly a great elementary school. The principal Mr. Williams sets the tone for the whole school. We moved here from the northeast and came with many reservations. Coming from top-rated public schools, I must admit that my expectations were low at first. I have been very pleasantly surprised, even impressed with the high standards at this school. Academics are top notch, teachers care about each student, and the administration is exceptional. I would highly recommend this school, and I am a tough critic!
I love this school! My son started kindergarten last year, and was not as advanced as the other children. By the time the year end was here he was in the top of his class and could do more than I could've ever imagined! The staff at Stanton-Smith is awesome!
