Whitharral School

Whitharral has excellent teachers and great students. The school has a good UIL program, DECA, student council, football, basketball, track, and cross country. The student/teacher ratio is low so the learner gets individual attention. Technology plays a major in the school, both the secondary and elementary have a computer lab. The district has a mobile computer cart that is available to all classrooms; a website; and computers in every classroom.

I have nothing but PRAISE for the teachers & administrators at Whitharral...especially WHS. My daughter had been attending another high school & had been unhappy for quite awhile. Her grades were dropping. We transferred her to WHS the 2nd semester of her junior year and her grades started immediately improving. The teachers' were terrific and didn't mind helping her if she was having trouble in a particular subject. The teachers at her previous school didn't care at all. She graduated from WHS in 2002. How I wish we would have sent her to Whitharral schools when she started kindergarten! I feel it would have made a BIG difference in her life! As the saying goes, 'Hindsight is 20/20.' Anyone who reads this and is considering sending their child to Whitharral, have no fear...it's a GREAT school system. Keep up the fantastic work, Whitharral!
