As an active parent in the school, I can say from many experiences that this school's staff is amazing. Most are willing to give 100% to their students and it shows. But the lack of overall staff moral is lacking. The principal cares about no one but herself.

This has been a horrible year for our child. His teacher is a first year teacher, and that excuse has been used all year long. This teacher has unrealistic expectations of her 4 year old class. By the end of the day both the teacher and class are not smiling, and look very, very frustrated, compared to 3 other classes where teachers are smiling, kids are smiling and laughing. The principal and vice principal continue to make excuse after excuse for said teacher, with no support of my child. This has been a horrible year, my child and his siblings will not be attending next year. I would not recommend this school to anyone.

My children attend John Tower and this is their first year. I am very dissatisfied with the school in general. The teacher is inexperienced with unrealistic goal expectations for young children. The principal and vice principal/couselor seem very phony and rehearsed when speaking to parents. The curriculum is mediocre and I truly believe my children are bored. Parents are welcome in the school and that is the only positive experience I have had with John Tower. My children are in lower grades so I don't believe that the extracuricular activities they have apply to their grade level. I will not be sending my children back to John Tower for the upcoming school year.

I have 2 children at this school, being dual military you worry about your childs education. My son will have been at this school K-2 and my daughter K-4 when we move,both straight A students and one is in the advanced program. I love this school and hope we find something at least comparable when we move.The teachers are wonderful, and the new principal is very caring to the students and parents as well.It is a small town school,which is wonderful. there is no athletic program but I believe education is more important, however there are programs in the local community that your child can get into. Parents are very involved at this school which is great. A+

My daughter attended Tower for first grade while we were stationed on Sheppard AFB. Her teacher was very dedicated and my daughter essentially learned how to read using Saxon phonics. However I was dissappointed in the flexibility of the faculty to the needs of military children. My daughter spent most of the year trying to adjust to the format of learning. The music program is limited and there is absolutely no art curriculum. My daughter is a straight A student but after moving she has had to work hard to catch up to a superior public school. Finally, Tower is overcrowded and too focused on small town highschool spirit instead of the needs of elementary students especially in the military which this school primarily serves. I am glad we were only there for a year. I regret putting my daughter there at all. Not the best school.
