I think Lamar offers excellent learning for the children. They have a caring and knowledgable staff that takes kids far in life. My children have attended this school since Pre-K and I wouldn't of had it any other way.

This school is PreK thru third grade only, which makes this a unique school able serves younger children very well. Third graders have more opportunities as big kids, ie announcements and tasks, hall and playground behaviors are not influenced by older children, classroom PE teachers make appropriate use of the large outdoor area (secluded from traffic) The staff is very approachable, and work well as a team, ie you notice the first grade teachers work together and are preparing the students for the second grade. Accelerated Reader is very active, effective, and competitive at this campus and the library has resourses for above thrid grade level readers. The city football team and cheerleaders for this school seems to be pretty traditional and supported. This school encourages and welcomes parental involvement. The PTA is not at all stagnant due to the relatively short student tenure. Great for young children.

Lamar has provided the Wichita Falls community with a high degree of education for its students. The small size and pre-K through third grade cirriculum offer elementary students comfort and confidence not available from schools of larger size.

All 3 of my boys went to Lamar and I love the teachers and principal. I'm glad my kids got a wonderful start at such a great school.
