I had three children in Vista Academy. Where the elementary grades are relatively good the older grades are pathetic. If your child needs special instruction most teachers are ill equiped to provide any no matter the grade level. The teachers 6th-8th are poor examples of instructors and do little more than grade than actually teach. The administration also leaves much to be desired. They function with little regard to the parents. I felt I was doing my children a service by putting them into an "above standard" school when sending them to Vista, now I know I did them much more of a service when I took them out.
mY SON ATTENDS VA AND IS DOING GOOD, tHE STAFF ARE VERY HELPFUL IN ANY SITUATION. I AM PROUD OF THE PROGRESS MY SON HAS MADE RC
I have had a child in almost every school in WISD...none hold a candle to Vista Academy!!
