Our school unlike others is very friendly. I'm not saying there's never bullying, but when there is it's very mild and the furthest it'll most likely go is just a bunch of name calling, because in out little town you know everyone and they all know you, so there's not much reason to fight. I think others should know that we have excellent teachers and students! I love our athletics, not because the whole world revolve around it but because not only do our coaches want us to play well, but they ALWAYS put school work first as it should be. Our athletics also has many amazing coaches who give a tips to improve and they have zero tolerance for team mates being mean to each other. What could improve my school you may ask? Well many things could, but the main issue is that we aren't able to get everything we may need. Our English teachers are working with really old books, our art teachers don't have tons of money to keep buying new supplies for us, etc.

We moved here many years ago before my children reached school age to ensure they were in WISD. My son is dyslexic which we may not have known as early as we did, had it not been for a great kindergarten teacher. He has had the BEST support to assist him with learning to advocate for himself and to become self reliant. He is graduating with a great GPA and acceptances to several colleges but most importantly his self esteem is good and I have no concerns with his academic readiness when he leaves for college. My daughter is the consummate high achiever and her hardest critic is herself. Wimberley ISD has been as much a benefit for her. She is a well adjusted, highly competitive in academics and sports. The staff has been wonderful and even when not agreement, they have shown to have my children's beat interest at heart! Couldn't ask for more!

National Honor Society induction this year ==> The principal did not show up. The vice principal did not show up. The superintendent did not show up. Kids and parents were dressed up in their Sunday clothes. So sad. Bond just passed commits 40% of total to athletic facilities. No mention of STEM. We just lost our ranking as one of "Americas Most Challenging High Schools" Washington Post. Gee, I wonder why. A school going downhill fast. The buses from Dripping Springs now swing thru the smarter neighborhoods to pick up kids whose parents are "in the know".

Overall, I have been very pleased with WHS. My daughter has thrived here. There are plenty of activities to interest every type and the teachers are overall very good. Not so big that kids get overlooked or lost if they have problems. The teachers really do care. Good school spirit too.

I am an alumni of WHS, and I can truely say that the faculty and staff are amazing. The small student population really helps students get the one on one attention from teachers that is vital to learning. Extracurricular activities such as Theater, Band, Volleyball, Football, Dance, and Basketball always do well in competitions (Theater and Volleyball consistently win state). The campus is clean and the sports fields are well kept. Overall, I would send my children here in a heartbeat.

this school is amazing. the students and teachers are great. and the theatre and athletic programs are awsome not to mention the academics. i love it here! for such a small town it sure does have alot of heart.
