this school supposedly has a zero tolerance for bullying, i have yet to see that my kid has been bullied, mostly by the same kids since moving here in the elemtery years. my child has 3 disabilities which are all mental not visible and i have meetings because of this, but i have yet to see a teacher be informed of my child's disabilities. not much support for the parent, not enough communication,,,,,f- if there is such a grade..(note the sarcasm).

The lack of electives in this school concerns me, however, the close nit community enviornment is a great atmosphere to raise your children. The teachers are available to speak with at convient times and the school is kept up well.

East Chambers HS is a fairly decent school in which to place your children. I do not believe they compare to many larger, 4-and-5A schools and lack many of the same extracurricular groups, activities and general assets of larger schools, but the academic emphasis placed on students could make up for it. In short, ECHS is a great place to enroll without the added societal pressures and hassles of many larger schools.

Safety of the students is not a priority here. Some of the staff are very good with the kids, but others leave a lot to be desired. The new (04-05) pick-up system is chaos. There has to be a better way. As a parent I am apalled at how disorganized most things at this school are.

This school doesn't do enough to prepare students for a college education. More needs to be done in the English Department to teach their students how to write quality papers. The school very safe. Sports are held in very high regard.
