If academics are not of any importance this is a great school. They lack advanced placement classes and have have very few non-athletic extra curriculars. Their lack of ethnicity and diverse cultures mean they have to meet very few requirements to be considered an exemplary school by TAKS standards, so do not be fooled by their state recognition.

We do have many success stories here and it is a great place to live and go to school but for the non-English speaking student it is not easy. There is minimal help for after school study and ESL in the area. Over all it is a good school.

I'm a senior 2005 at WCHS and I want to tell any parents looking for a good school for their hs age kids to come here. We have wonderful teachers and staff members and not a violence problem like a lot of schools these days. I'm truly glad that my family moved here from Dallas because I would never have done as good in a Dallas school as I have done at WC.
