Forbes is a school with a varied popluation. There are high and low income students, 2 special needs classrooms, and a varied ethnic population. The teachers and principal are united and are interested in each child individually. Our test scores in the last couple of years have risen dramatically and are the highest in the district. The PTA is well organized and functions highly in the school. Their main focus is the well-being of the children.
Forbes is an outstanding school. The quality of teaching is truly impressive. I currently have 3 students there. The teachers are helpful and motivated to help my children succeed. Many Parent Volunteers help in extra programs to ensure the reading success of students at Forbes. Students at Forbes attend core classes and have a higher than expected quality of specialty classes. Each year several of the teachers spend hundreds of their own hours putting on a musical production that is high quality and entertaining. All of my children feel comfortable with the staff at Forbes including the Principal Dr. Dean.
