Discovery School

We have had a harder time at discovery. We recently moved here, and was most disapointed in the teachers lack of involement with the children. We feel she just gives busy work. When I went to go express my concerns with the teacher, about how we could better work together, she got offended, and ever since does not like my child and has given us problems. Counting down the days till Summer! The Principal was very kind to us, but has not followed up on the situation. I feel the principal picks favorite teachers, along with favorite students. Not a very pleasing situation to move here. No one notified us of rules and how the classroom works, we are learning through trial and error. Could of been a lot better situation.

Discovery Elementary is a wonderful school. My children are taught and loved by their teachers. They love going to school! The teachers and principal know them and their individual needs. The school is clean, safe and full of friendly staff. The reading/literacy program is amazing!

Discovery School has a tremendous staff who are willing to go above and beyond the call of duty. They give of their time after school and their wallets to fund countless activities. how do I know? I live with one. You will be hard pressed to find a better or more devoted school, Teachers and Staff

This school is only as good as its leader. When we lost a wonderful principal, she was replaced with a principal that plays favorites. In her speech to the graduating class last year she repeatedly encouraged the kids to stay with their Discovery friends. I feel the kids should be encouraged to make new friends too. my sons fifth grade teacher was wonderful and she gave him a ton of individual time. She helped my son believe in himself.

Great teachers, friendly students, great staff. Kids love it. Very safe, very clean, great environment.
