Great school my little one was not assigned any homework until second grade and I think that made it harder to adjust for her other than that I loved it.

Two of my children have attended Holt Elementary. I think it is a very good school. Social Economics vary from middle to low, and it is a title one school. The teachers are for the most part willing to work with parents, and the principal, Mr. Dibble is fantastic. He loves the kids, and the kids likewise love him. He makes each student feel wanted at school. The school started a new schoolwide discipline plan that seems to have impacted everyone positively. There are less discipline problems this year than previous years.

About the tests

In 2009-2010 Utah used the Utah Criterion-Referenced Test (CRT) to test students in grades 1 through 11 in language arts, in grades 1 through 7 in math, in grades 4 through 9 in science and upon completion of certain courses in grades 8 through 11. The results displayed on GreatSchools profiles are for all grades combined for each subject. The CRT is a standards-based testing program, which means it measures specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Utah. The goal is for all students to score at or above the proficient level.
