Without the help of Turnabout Ranch and the way you all counseled our son through his dark times ....I don't know where we would be. He is now doing great and is involved in a number of school sports. He no longer associates with his old crows and I ve seen great progress in his behavior. Turnabout Ranch you are a blessing!

Since leaving Turnabout Ranch, Jason has continued to be a gentleman. He is still quiet, but seems more at peace with himself. Jason seemed to take his first day at school in stride. His teachers and counselors have been very accommodating. He attends classes from 11:30-3:00. I hope he'll find something motivating to get up in the am. Thank you for all that you have done!

I m just writing to tell you that I m very happy and grateful for everything you did for Emily and our family. All the hard work between Emily, the staff and especially you really paid off. When we first sent Emily she was very hateful towards all her family and wouldn t listen to us. After her time at Turnabout Ranch, she has changed for the better. Although, we still have ups and downs with her, she has learned to control her temper and respect her family and what we want for her. Turnabout Ranch taught her discipline and hard work and she now uses these skills at school. All the teachers wish their students were more like Emily and she is getting straight A s. There are no words or money that can express how thankful we are and we wish more parents new about Turnabout Ranch, we were so lucky to find you. Thank you so much.

The Decision to send our son to Turnabout Ranch was one of our hardest decisions we had to make as a parent. Our son Nate was overall a happy outgoing kid. Things had slowly changed with him his junior year in high school. We heard about Turnabout Ranch through the internet and the Dr. Phil show. From the beginning we knew Nate was safe at the ranch. Everyone was great My wife after leaving felt reassured after talking to some of the kids and Nate s therapist, he was in the right place! All the employees from the Directors, Therapist, Clinical, Teachers were really outstanding! The ranch built up his self-confidence, taught him how to manage his anger and frustration. His education did not suffer. He returned to start his senior year. He was able to control his emotions, focus on school. Our Family and friends are always saying what a polite, outgoing young man he is. Everyone is so proud of him. His experience at the ranch has really helped him build a better future!

The staff was amazing! Beginning with the first phone call I made to admissions to determine if Turn-About Ranch was the right choice for us, to the end when the boys graduated- the staff was very kind, caring and had only encouraging words for our boys. Our mid-term visit was the first time we got to meet the staff in person. In watching and listening to them it was obvious they really cared about all of the kids. We appreciated the "tough love" the staff provided. Consequences are consequences and sometimes they do not seem fair to the kids, but that is life. It is better to learn this in a safe environment than not and end up on the streets.

At Turnabout Ranch, we are completely separated from the outside world, so you can think about yourself.

I am very pleased with my experience at TAR. It will be difficult for my daughter to leave behind the staff. She will always remember their kindness. Our daughter absolutely loves cosmetology school now. She is excited to get up in the morning and tells me every part of her day when she gets home. She is excited and motivated and can't believe it is all really happening. She has found her passion and is surprised how enjoyable life is with a passion. Turnabout Ranch was the right step!

The people are so kind and really make the children do it all on their own. They also make the parents comfortable assuring safety for the children. My son has had a couple of birthdays since he has been here! The staff are amazing and my son has done it all on his own.

Thank you Turnabout Ranch! The first week of my daughter being back was a little challenging as we were all re-establishing our new normal, but now things are going really well. The main changes I've seen are that her self esteem is so much higher now and her anger is almost non-existent. I can say that she and I have the best relationship we've ever had. She is being really good about coming to me and talking through things as they happen rather than holding it in and letting the anger build. I am doing the same, it's helped a lot!

I'm so thankful for everyone at Turnabout Ranch, words cannot express my gratitude. As I reflect on this year, I know things could be completely awry if we hadn't made the decision to send our son to Turnabout Ranch. We've been blessed with the rewards of Austin's work while he was there. Our family is happily together again, and enjoying moments together that I once thought we'd never have again. Thank you.

We were losing our daughter. Sending her was the most painful decision we ever made - and the very best thing we could have done for her - it saved her life. The ranch truely helped her turn her life around. Now she has started college - in leadership roles. The staff are the greatest - they care, they know how to help, and they force the kids to face themselves and take responsbility. They give the kids a fighting chance. We now find our daughter to be far more mature than most of her age. She is back on track to becoming the incredible person we believe she is capable of being. We will be forever thankful to the Ranch and all of the staff.

Sending a child to Turn-About ranch is the hardest decision you might ever have to make. In my case, I am SO GLAD I made the right decision and sent my son to the Ranch. There, he learned, how to be respectful, a man of itegrity, and so many life lessons. The staff is unbelievable. They are all fabulous mentors and leaders. I believe an experience like the Ranch has to offer is every bit as important as a college education. Without Turn-About Ranch, I venture to bet that my son might not ever make it to college. With his new found self confidence and desire to do well in life, I have all bets that he will be a very successful in his future. I have no regrets about sending him to the Ranch! It was the best and most difficult choice I have ever made. You can have this success, too. I wish you all the best.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
