The truth is this: there is very dubious behavior transpiring here. Like many programs in Utah (where regulation is very lax) a great number of parents and students are claiming that this school is not what it seems. I with a group called CAFETY, and we strongly suspect this place is not telling the whole story to parents, that staff is under-qualified and students are kept here longer than necessary. A long standing psychological principle is that a patient should be kept in the least restrictive environment possible for as short a time as possible. We do not believe this school is practicing that principle. This among many other complaints. Please dig deeper concerning this facility.

Our son has attended Sorensons for about 4 months, we recieve updates on his behavior and studies weekly. Our son is severely troubled and has many psych. problems Sorensons appears to be meeting all of his needs and is effectively working towards helping him understand what needs to be done to live in the world. We tried public as well as home schooling but were unable to make any progress, we appreciate what they are doing to help him.
