My Son has been a student at this school for the past three years. This school has failed him. I am in the process of trying to get him into another school. I just wish I would have done it sooner or better yet, never put him in the school in the first place. I just kept thinking it was the teacher and that it would get better. I was obviously wrong.I wish I had someone tell me when he was first starting school to do your research. The school does make the difference. This school is horrible and sad.
How can teacher quality be excelent and principal ledership be medeoker?? Does testing really tell the story? Can lack of care make a building age more rapidly? Vae View just underwent an extensive renovation? Many imporvments have been added thanks to our principal? Shall we now set them aside and start over? It is my opinion as a resident of Vae View for almost fifty years that the p with the head custodian of the last twenty + years. Besides being lazy, he is egostistical and is a control freak. I base this on the fact that my wife worked in the school lunch program at Vae View for 17 years. During that time, the student body doubled while the kitchen staff was cut in half. This was "justified" by implimenting a central kitchen and having the custodain help with some of the chores. The previous custodians were attenitive to their duties, but when our present custodian was needed, he could be found setting in his chair with his feet his desk. I also servd with him as a part tim custodian. My experience with him was one of "my way or the highway". He was also incompitent. Not enough room to explain. Long time resident
