My daughter's school is the best because they care about their students all around progress as individuals.
This school rocks! We have a lot of extracurricular activities to choose from. Also the teaching meathods are amazing. The teachers work with you to help you find a method that works best for you. I am just saying that this school is great!
I am currently an 8th grader at this school, and for all three years I have been here, I think it rox! It has the best student government program ever!--woot Mrs. Byrd!--and all the other classes and teachers are great too! I cannot wait until next year when the school will hold ninth graders too! That means four years at the greatest school ever! yay! go hikers! yay!
I spent the 3 greatest years of my life at Highland Middle School. The teachers were great and i had great friends every year. The basketball program was also great...
I pulled my child and homeschooled at the end of the sixth grade year due to teachers that absolutely refused to work with a child with disabilities. I found that the principal was not helpful and was actually a hinderance. The only help we received were from the assistant principal and the district. We tried again for the 7th grade and seem to be running into the same problems. The principal doesn't seem to be capable of communicating with parents at an adult/non-student manner and is demeaning to parents who are concerned with helping their child. The 7th grade teachers seem to be more willing to listen to the parents and take into account both their and the child's opinion as how to best help the student achieve their educational goals. If your child needs any type of help (disabilities or otherwise), work with the district instead of the school.
