Lincoln School
Grateful to: Teacher

Mrs. Morgan a 2nd grade teacher at Lincoln Elementary School truly goes above & beyond. We have a special situation with the child we have attending Lincoln Elementary & Mrs. Morgan was understanding but also made sure she was treated like all the other students to help our child through a very difficult time. Mrs. Morgan works diligently for all her students & absolutely helped our child get back to being a much happier child who got over a lot of fears & insecurities because of the love & commitment she shows & gives to her students, to all the students she interacts with. Due to her commitment & her pure love of being a teacher she helped our child to be able to trust, to love school again , to socialize, to enjoy learning, reading, math & never forget how amazing she is & that no matter what happens she has worth & deserves to be a kid, have fun, be passionate but mostly to have a voice. It was a very tough year for our child & she is still working to overcome some very detrimental things that happened to her. Mrs. Morgan was in a position that she didn't have to care or want to help make a difference but she did & because of that she has helped a child survive & thrive through a time that many kids would not have been able to overcome as quickly. We are truly grateful to her for being such an amazing teacher, leader & example to all the kids especially the difference she made with our child that we have been blessed to have in our lives & home. Thank you Mrs. Morgan for all you've done & continue to do.

They have placed a new principal there this year. The principal received an award as the best principal in the state. I have seen immediate changes. Most of the teachers are outstanding. My child has made great progress this year.

My children attend Lincoln and it has numerous problems. The principal at the school has changed ever year for the past 4 years. The newest principal does not have a clue on what she is doing. The teachers are phenomenal! They work harder than most and do not receive the recognition for it.

There is a high amount of ESL students and not all the teachers are bi-lingual. Because of this only the basics are being covered in class and average students are left waiting for slower students to catch up. There is no extracurricular programs available such as band or music and even fun activities such as celebrating holidays are passed on in order to spend more time focused on the slower students.

I love Lincoln! The staff seems to really care about the kids. Every friday the entire school gathers together to share thoughts, info and participate in the pledge and school song. It was a wonderful beginning for someone just entering into school. The kindergarten teachers are superior! I was impressed with how everyone seems determined to teach the kids to be independant, responsible and to be themselves. The school its self has been beautifully remodeled after the fire, and is very modern. I feel wonderful sending my child to this school. She's had the chance to start off right, which can make all the difference.
