We enrolled our child in this school despite of several warnings from our friends against it. Just recently several of the teachers in their staff left the school due to issues with management and we can completely understand their motives as our personal experience with the management and new teachers has been disappointing at least. We have found them to be the very opposite of what you would expect from educators. Unkind, unmotivated, unhelpful, judgmental and flat out rude and lazy. They are motivated strictly by money and seem to hand pick the children that will fit into "their mold" and offer no challenges to their staff. It seemed clear to us that encouraging diversity is not a part of their curriculum or culture and that toddlers less than complacent are eliminated after a short day screening. I just don't see how a preschool can be efficiently ran by terrible people.

All that glitters is not gold. This school has a nice campus, but it is run by a mother and daughter team that is NOT QUALIFIED to run a school. The teachers are good, but 6 out of 10 are leaving this year due to poor management. The replacement teachers are not even trained. They are in the process of being trained. My child was happy there, but I am not sure that he received an adequate education. In fact, I am so concerned that I have chosen to have him tested by a grade-level teacher to make sure that he has not fallen behind. The testing conducted by the school found him to be way above grade level. This is questionable. We are not returning because the replacement teacher's credentials are homeschooling her own child. This is unacceptable. The school administration is very focused on their profits. Due to their shady practices, my son's ENTIRE upper elementary class will not be returning. If you decide to visit the school ask a lot of questions. They are NOT an accredited school. Check on the AMS (the only Montessori board that counts) website. They pay to use the emblem of the IMS (international montessori society), but they are NOT accredited with them either.

Soaring Wings has at times had effective teachers. They enjoy a nice new facility, yet it was not well planned for their needs and lacked basic play areas for nearly a year. As a parent and a primary educator I can not recommend this school. It is poorly run, the data they present on learning seems to be inaccurate at best, and their motives are clearly for profit.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

Oops! We currently do not have any student information for this school. We rely on the state Department of Education, the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), and in some cases school administrators such as registrars and principals for this data.
