Our children have been attending LPA via distance education for the last two years. Their program is exceptional, as are their mentors. My 8th grade son took the Stanford Achievement Test at the end of the year for 9th grade and scored 90th percentile (for the grade above his level). That gives you an idea of how the courses at LPA compare to the national average. Of course, considerable parental involvement is expected in this education process. However, we credit LPA's mentors for impacting our son's character/attitude in a miraculous way at a very critical age. Our nation needs more schools like LPA that empower youth with an understanding of their unique value and capacity for effecting great good in the world.

I had 4 of my children go through this school to graduation. It was exactly what I had been looking for as a concerned parent. I wanted them to learn patriotism and a love of their country, as well as a sense of their importance in contributing to society as a whole through the Gospel and their obligations to their country. They loved school. They came home and discussed what they had learned over the dinner table. They loved the teachers. And they felt that the teachers really cared about them. I loved that is was a small community so that every child felt they were needed and important. Those running the school are passionate about teaching our children, this is not just a business to them. I would highly recommend this institution to anyone, and I have.

DANGER FOR YOUR CHILDS SAFETY: PLEASE READ VERY IMPORTANT: There are masses of toadstools growing on the south side of Liahona Ele. . grounds people and teachers have been talked to on numerous occasions, all have been educated how deadly they are. The response received was "oh dear" and "Its NOT my problem." this spring of 2013 the children were excited for all the dandelions then saw the toadstools I stopped them from touching them and told them they would hurt them badly. Last spring we lost a puppy due to these toadstools that spread to our yard from the weed whacking and mowing and blowing the spores to our yard.We just could not get to her to get it out before she consumed it. they destroy the liver in just hours. Other occasions children are allowed to go down the street up to 2 houses away, and in the road to play at recess while there is no supervision or the supervision was in the back of the building chatting. It is your choice on your child's safety from here out, just felt it needed to be known.

Fantastic LDS based High School. They are number 2 in the state in ACT scores and close to being numero uno. Fantastic teachers and the administration really knows how to relate to students. They are extremely flexible with getting the right education for you children and a great camaraderie between students. This is the best kept secret of LDS based High school and Elementary education in Utah.

I was extremely pleased with the education at Liahona. The science, history, and english programs are excellent. The school is small, but is getting some great after-school programs. Their basketball team is doing very well. And the leadership and quality of teachers is great. I have been nothing but pleased. For a faith-based program, I think they are doing a great job.

My children love going to school now! The students work at their own skill level regardless of what grade they are in. Liahona is a loving, safe enviorment. The teachers are wonderful and it is obvious that they enjoy their job! This school has been a blessing to our entire family. Thank you Liahona!

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
