There are many schools (public, private, and charter) in this area to choose from. This is an above average public school. The teachers, principal, librarian, office staff, custodian, and cafeteria workers are all kind, skilled persons. The school website it helpful to families to keep track of school activities. Each teacher has a website that is informative about classroom assignments. Skyward is a great program where you can access on the computer all your children's grades and specific scores on assignments or tests with one login. There is significant parental involvement and community support for Manila. Also, the PTA has a "do not bleed the parents with fundraisers" policy. There are usually 1 or 2 events each year and that is all for fundraising. The physical building is one of the older elementary schools, however there are modern conveniences such as digital projectors and voice projection equipment in the classrooms. There is a computer teacher and classroom full of computers so each child has opportunity to learn basic computer skills and develop additional skill as they mature academically. If you are interested in a public school, this is a very good option.
