We moved here from Orem in October and we were sad to leave our old school, HOWEVER, Mt. Loafer Elementary has far surpassed any expectation I had! We are so happy with the teachers & staff. I am so glad we moved, we would never have had the wonderful experience in Orem that we are getting here at Mt. Loafer.
I love this school !! My daughter is in 2nd grade and loves going to school every day. She not only enjoys school, but she learns a lot as well.
I have had two or more children in this school for each of the past nine years. I am impressed by the caliber of its teachers. Student teachers, interns, and first year teachers have a great support network in the existing educators here. Almost without exception (and those were years ago!) we have had excellent teachers. I never request teacher placement because I don't feel that I need to. The administrators are accessible and the students love them. The school atmosphere continues to impress me as the students are taught positive character traits and citizenship qualities. The library is well stocked and well run. The school offers a computer lab, PE, art, and a piano lab where third through fifth grades learn rhythm, note reading, and piano playing once per week! Parent participation/volunteering is high, and the PTA program does a great job recognizing both student and teacher needs.
Mt. Loafer is a great school. I have found that most of the teachers are excellent. I have two kids in school right now and both of their teachers are AWESOME! Thanks so much to Ms. Tripp for your positive attitude with my hardest child. And to Mrs. Peterson, you know excatly how to handle those kindergartens.
