We love the Fox Hills Magnet program. It has excellent teachers that encourage deep learning in all subject areas. The students are great classmates for our daughter, they are good friends and help keep her motivated. We love the curriculum and wish all kids were fortunate enough to have a school this great!

The teachers in the magnet program are excellent. The curriculum does not completely challenge my highly gifted children, but it is far better than what they'd receive in our neighborhood program. The magnet is placed in a school whose regular students are not meeting AYP goals. This means a lot of time is wasted on test preparation (to get into the gifted program, children have to test well two years ahead, then they are made to waste all year on grade level test prep), and we are continually getting school-wide handouts (PTA) with gross grammatical and spelling errors. Thankfully, my fourth grader is able to readily pick them out and correct them, and the third grade teacher has covered them in class before. Discipline is generally ok. Within the magnet classes themselves, it is excellent. There is high parent participation among the magnet parents.
