We LOVE our school -- the teachers could not be more interested, involved and dedicated to the success of their students. The teachers and staff leave no stone unturned in finding solutions to what is best to maximize each student's learning potentional. Yay - Elizabeth Academy rocks!
I can't say enough good things about this school. Our son has struggled since he was a baby will his language, expressive and comprehensive. We knew he needed something other then traditional school to thrive and we found it here. He is doing so well in school. We love all of the teachers and the programs that they have for the children. Since starting there three years ago we have started two more of our children there. We love Elizabeth Academy.
I have three daughters that attend this school and we are absolutely thrilled in every aspect of the education and experience that they are receiving. My younger two daughters (preschool) are attending for the second year. The love and guidance they receive is amazing, along with the arts integration and life skills they are learning. They come home from school and play school. We moved my older daughter (8) over from public school this year, where she was actually very happy, and her experience at EA has exceeded both her and our expectations. She has said that you can't even compare the two because of what a unique experience she is having here. She is finally able to learn at her own pace and receive individual attention. I can't say enough good about the leadership, vision and teachers they have on staff. My girls feel so loved and nurtured and really enjoy working alongside the children with special needs. The educational tools and classroom environment are phenomenal and I only wish that some of that could be incorporated into the world of public education.
I have two boys that attend EA and I don't know what I did to be so fortunate to find this school as well as be eligible to receive financial aid from them! My first born who is now almost 6 has been going since he was 2 years old. He comes home everyday asking if his teachers can babysit, which I love!! He is learning to read and somehow I feel he has already mastered it! Probably because of the confidence he is gaining by being in such an independent and positive atmosphere. My youngest who is 2 years old is learning how to be away from mom and the best thing is his excitement to run into his classroom everyday. Because he is 2, I am not 100% sure how much he is learning, because he might just be having fun, but to see his face light up when we get to school, tells me that what he is gaining in the classroom is very positive! Elizabeth Academy deserves this! The help my family has received from them, allowing my children to attend a school I would not be able to afford otherwise, is insuring that my children will have a lot to offer society as they grow.
This is the first year we are sending our daughter to Elizabeth Academy. We were nervous at first but she has thrived in the classroom and with the curriculum. The teacher to student ratio is incredible and the individual attention given to each child cannot be matched. The Administration is heavily involved in supervising the classroom studies and making sure it is a truly an inclusive school. We love it.
Elizabeth Academy is an incredible school. They cater to children with special needs in a way that is so special and heartwarming. My children don't have special needs, but they have learned to love the diversity of all children. The teachers truly love their students, and when I take my children to school each day I know they are surrounded with love and truly learning...not just being babysat. I would recommend this school to any parent!
Elizabeth Academy is an incredible school to be a part of. The school's owner is a true visionary and it is truly an honor to support her vision of inclusion and arts integration in becoming concrete reality. Elizabeth Academy is designed to be a model school. I hope that many many other school administrators will be inspired to follow the vision!
My son is a sweet, smart and generally a very happy child. He was having issues with social anxiety and a lack of confidence that was only exaggerated at his previous school. He was so concerned about how others would view him, he rarely allowed people outside of his family see how wonderful and intelligent he really is. After only a short period of time at Elizabeth Academy, he is engaging people in conversation and has the confidence to allow himself to progress with his academics at a pace even I hadn't expected. The individualized learning plans and attentive staff have given my son the ability to see his own potential and the drive to do well, not only in school but also with everyday life. Hearing my son read stories he wrote, tell me about projects he does at school, or even just hearing him laugh with neighborhood kids (who he was too anxious to talk to a few months ago) has been amazing. Seeing how happy he is with himself and his school experience has me sold on the Montessori method and Elizabeth Academy. A parent couldn't ask for a better school for their child.
When we first found out about Elizabeth Academy we were intrigued. Our daughter struggled at the charter school she was attending in almost every aspect including making friends. When we toured the new school and met the teachers we immediately knew we had to move her. We can't say enough about what a huge difference it has made in her life. She wants to go to school, she has made several new freinds, and is progressing faster than ever before. At Elisabeth she learns life skills that simply aren't taught at traditional schools. I only wish every child could attend a school like this.
This school does a great job at helping children learn through various activities in and outside the classroom. As an aunt of one of the students, it has been a delight to see my niece grow through her participation in the school. In addition, I have enjoyed their family programs and the efforts they make to involve all family members in the children's learning.
Both of my kids are going to Elizabeth Academy. Both of them have enjoyed and thrived in the school. As someone who works in higher education, I put a premium on early childhood education and I can not over-emphasize the importance of academic excellence. But what is even more important than academic success at their young age is emotional intelligence and the ability to understand and work with others. Elizabeth Academy has greatly surpassed my expectation. No one would be disappointed by the new school site and many more offerings in the coming years.
I love this school. My kid are thriving academically. As a child I wish I was taught in the montessori method. I believe I could have learned to deal with my dyslexia at a younger age and could have be a better student. My childern love their loving, understanding, and patient terachers.
My son has gone to this school for two years and it is exceptional. Fantastic teacher/student ratio, wonderful (and clean & tidy) learning environment, and one of the only schools in the country that also accepts children with special needs. This is great for my kids and the kids with special needs. I couldn't love it more!
