This school is very forgiving on racism, and discrimination in general. People that aren't mormons are often looked down upon, are lied to, and abused by the authority as they're prone to believing the mormon kids over the atheists. If your child is an outsider or likes to be alone, they will most likely be beaten up, or picked on by kids in this kids. DO not go to.
I go to Roosevelt Elm and I left because people would cuss a lot and they would beat me up so I left because of mean people.
I have two kids at Roosevelt Elementary this 2006 - 2007 school year. My kids teachers are wonderful this year. The principal has some issues and needs help to discipline better and keep the school a safer place. Last years principal was awesome and the school seemed to run better, he seemed to have more personal contact with the students, he knew every student by name, and he attempted to keep the kids happy and enjoying their learning experience. To be fair, there are a few (7) great teachers at Roosevelt Elementary, but the rest are mediocre at best.
I have had all three of my children attend Roosevelt and they enjoyed being there. I have two attending now and they are doing very good. The principal is very helpful and the teachers are great.
