Highland high school what can i say i love this school from the oldest teacher who have been working there to the new ones. This school so diversed and the spirit week assembly is the most funnest assembly of the year! to freak east! amazing! highland high is a place where we come not only to just get an education but also meet new wonderful people! i am i junior graduating next year and its been so amazing! we dont have cliques like east and west and surely do not haze like they do!!!!! are school we like to mingle and just have fun but also get an education! all my older sibblings came here and now i am the last! we have so many extra curricular and so many clubs!!!! so i say before you take your kids to east or west!!! come see what highland has to offer!!!

I have one finishing this year and one more to go the next. More or less the school has been good and I am a big beliver that you get out what you put in. But a lot of the last 4 years there were no books or they were very old (district or school issue?) A lot of the teachers do not take control of the classrooms and the ones that do, are so full with the students trying to get an education. Overall they seemed to be safe and most of the kids were great. I have seen both sides private and public school.

Highland High is an excellent place for your student to grow and mature to an adult. There are many activities for them to join and it will be the best and most important 4 years of their lives, so enroll at Highland if you want your kid to have a great highschool experience

Highland High is on the cutting edge of public education. Students have so many opportunities in so many areas! The recent addition of a world-class art gallery in the very center of the school is breath-taking. Three beautiful glass walls enclose some of the best quality student work around. Academics are first class and AP programs abound. My students have had a great experience so far and have great expectations for the future.

I am amazed at the quality of fine arts staff and their dedication to their students. Congratulations on just being named the SLCSD Fine Arts Academy. My child has had an excellent experience there and has a 4.0 with AP and Honors classes galore to choose from. 'Newsweek' magazine named it one of the top 100 schools in the country. We have a deep tradition of school spirit and a great football and rugby team. I am proud to have all of my children attend such a diverse, academically challenging high schoool. Go rams! We love the enthusiasm of the new school administration. How many principals do you know who would dress up in a scottish kilt and cheer with the cheer leaders? The kids love him! He is fun and strict with dress code and truancy. What a nice balance. Lori smith

Since the addition of a brand-new administration at Highland High, everything has improved. No one gets away with skipping class, it's a safer environment and I've never seen more school spirit in my life. Highland High is definitely one of the best schools out there now that things have changed for the better.

Highland High is one of the worst schools i have ever ben to. Safety in this school is low, there are kids slufing 24/7, walking down the halls and yelling out stuff while classes are in progress. And nobady seems to care for all of this, I mean there are classes so big that you can walk out of the cllass and teacher would never notice. I know all of this becuze I went to this school, and if you are planning to put your kid in this school I wouldnot reccomend to do so.

textbooks outdated, inadequate funding from government, teachers salaries too low( you get what you pay for) rudeness and intolerance abound.(Must come from the top) Utah spends more money on paving roads then it does on education.
