After coming from a highly rated national Blue Ribbon school district in SoCal, I was a little concerned about the quality of education my son would receive at his new school in SLC. Now, as the year winds down, I have nothing but amazing things to say about the staff and administration at Escalante School. They really go above and beyond to help the children appreciate and foster connectedness amongst all the ethnicities and cultures found amongst the student body. It's like a mini- United Nations over there and it works beautifully. I would also like to commend a first rate 6th grade teaching team - their passion for teaching results in some very creative and innovative teaching methods. This is what keeps the kids so engaged, and excited to come to school and learn something new every day. No small feat during the tween years ~ way to go!

About the tests

In 2009-2010 Utah used the Utah Criterion-Referenced Test (CRT) to test students in grades 1 through 11 in language arts, in grades 1 through 7 in math, in grades 4 through 9 in science and upon completion of certain courses in grades 8 through 11. The results displayed on GreatSchools profiles are for all grades combined for each subject.
