Make sure you child is always within eyeshot of the teacher in this school. Particularly if they are under 5 years. Children should never be left unattended. The director's philosophy (that she talks so much about) sometimes seems to morph into letting the kids and teachers do whatever they want to do. I learned the hard way that this school's philosophy is not good. Most young kids need structure to get prepared for school. This school leaves their brains cloudy and disorganized. Even if your child appears to do well in this school, it is probably because they are an exceptional child who can survive anything.. it does not mean it is a good school. This is not a school for a child who is going to be a high achiever. If you want you kids to be really free and happy and work at McDonalds for the rest of their might be fine.. but I don't think most of the parents who are paying their exorbitant tuition are aiming for this.

This is one of the finest Montessori Schools in the world! It holds true to the core principles and over-all philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori. If you want an environment where your child can learn, while immersed in a culture of love for children, openness and trust, this is certainly something you should consider. I have had children and a grandchild in this school for over fourteen years. Simply wonderful!

MCS has been absolutely amazing in so many ways for my son. He started with the Toddler program and was welcomed by the most caring and warm hearted staff. I could see throughout the program year that he was becoming much more social and independent. He would come home saying all sorts of new vocabulary and I noticed that his motor skills had improved tremendously. He is now in the Early Childhood Dual Language program and I have to say-- has completely come out of his shell and comes home telling me tidbits that he has learned at school. His teachers are the best that anyone could ask for and I'm thankful that my son has them in his life. All of the staff at MCS are amazing and create such a sense of community amongst the teachers, students, and families. Thank you MCS!

This is my son's fourth year at MCS and we love it! Thanks to MCS my son has confidence, independence and a LOVE OF LEARNING! The teachers are patient, calm and respectful. MCS offers a wide variety of classes within the weekly curriculum (music, art, dance, P.E., Spanish, yoga). The whole child is valued at this school - academic, emotional, physical, social. It's a very positive place for children and their families!

I love the way the teachers at this school treat all students, no matter how young, like little adults. Each child's opinion and feelings are respected and has responsibilities in the classroom. Academically, I like the process my daughter is making. The self-discovery method of learning has worked well for her. She has been at this school since she was three years old. Now, she is five and entering kindergarten.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
