We have thoroughly loved having our kids at this school. Our kids have progressed so much in their education. My daughter went to West High School and was so far ahead of the other kids. We had to put her in Honors classes just so she would keep busy. I wish all schools were this good. Parents and facility have been awesome. Before our kids started at SLARTS they were in another title one school and the parents didn't care didn't come to parent teacher meetings. The only time the parents came was when an activity fed them or gave away something for free. At SLARTS, almost every parent comes to the meetings with teachers. Parents want to be involved and helpful in their kids education. Again the Teachers and the Principle have been very supportive and helpful. They want to see your kid succeed as much as you do. I love this school.

Unfortunately my child received relentless bullying at this school. We have taken my child out of the school. The administration and faculty have blinders on and dont want to see the reality of what was happening. There is a very much " not at this school" attitude. The Arts Academy is not as progressive and culture tolerant as they would like you to believe.

I love how much attention my daughter is able to receive--she's not falling through the cracks like she was in our neighborhood school, and the teachers and principal are more than willing to work with her, and her emotional and metal developmental levels, to ensure her success. My right-brained, creative daughter is thriving.

The Salt Lake Arts Academy is a wonderfully vibrant and diverse community with teachers, staff, and leadership, and therefore students, who consistently embrace individuality and the human quest to learn. The school is the best I have seen with respect to embracing and implementing progressive thoughts and applications of learning and teaching style. Combined with a philosophy that embraces the community in which we live as an integral part of education, this school is second to none.

Our son started at SLARTS in the fall. He chose to leave his great elementary school because he was so enthused about what SLARTS had to offer and was ready for a middle school experience. He is absolutely thrilled. He loves his teachers and is doing well academically. We are excited for him and from most of what we've seen so far, the school has a wonderful mix of strong academics, many creative outlets and a wonderful community.

This is our fourth year with Slarts. Our family has enjoyed every year. The teachers, staff, and administration are professional, compentent, and compassionate. The atmosphere at the school is positive, inviting and a safe enviroment to try new things and have an experience with all the arts. The teachers are wonderful in the methods they use to teach the core consepts in exciting and engaging ways that challenge their student to look beyond the fact and figures of memorizing the needed information to pass a test. Thanks Slarts for giving us a choice in education our students have benefited from your vision to have the arts as an important and vital part of education.

Our child is in his 2nd year at SLARTS and we have been very happy. The academics have integrity, but also integrate creativity; I also love the student involvement in the SLC community for cultural, service, and educational experiences. The smaller size creates a stronger sense of community. Our child was doing fine in the public school but he has a much greater sense of belonging at SLARTS.

My daughter started at SLARTS last year for 5th grade and is back again this year. I couldn't believe that week after week she'd come home thrilled with her day and excited for the next. Her teachers are excellent at using a variety of mediums to teach their material - language arts uses music to learn poetry, history uses arts, etc. It's great for engaging her active mind! The staff is always looking for new opportunities for the students and I love their monthly community service days. They really get the kids out and involved in the local community! Driving her across the valley is worth it for this great school :-)

SLARTS has kept my child engaged and looking forward to going to school each day. I love that my child can experience music and other arts, while being academically challenges in humanities, math and science, and still have time for PE 2-3 times each week. The school's teachers and leadership are outstanding.

Our family has been at SLARTS for 2 years and both kids have been challenged to learn in such creative ways that keep them excited to go to school every day. Teachers know their students which in today's overcrowded schools, is invaluable. Their test scores are some of the best in the Salt Lake Valley. A great choice for your 5th-8th grader!

The Salt Lake Arts Academy is certainly an oasis in the world of middle school education. The teachers care about the students and the students treat their faculty like rock stars. We fell lucky to be enrolled - what more can be said!

My daughter really appreciates the art experience and the opportunities to go into the community. I appreciate the high accademic standards and the low teacher to student ratios that let the teachers know their students.

We are so fortunate to be a part of this special school. The involvement with the arts mixed in with a day of core classes has been so wonderful for my kids. And the teachers clearly feel passionate about what they are doing and are happy to be at work at this great school. Yay for SLARTS!

This school is great!!! This is my daughters first year attending SLArts, and she is the happiest she has ever been in school. This last semester she made the high honor role for the first time ever, and tells me all the time how much she loves it there!!!! The classes are very involved, and the teachers make it fun for the kids to learn! I haven't regretted once putting her in SLArts

We have the last of three boys attending the school presently. We love it because of the exposure the children get. Besides the normal curriculum of math, English, science, etc., that you get at any school, the arts side of this school is what really sets it apart. The fact that the children are exposed to plays, ballets, museum exhibits, public transportation and the like, I feel gives them a head up as they enter high school. We love it!

This is our 2nd year at SL Arts and it has been a great choice for my daughter. She is engaged, challenged and happy. Her teachers really know her and both teachers and administration are very responsive to concerns and suggestions. It is a caring school community and very open to unique and creative children. SL Arts is very committed to making the middle school years easier to get through and a time that kids strengthen their love of learning.
