In the Granite Public School District you may attend your neighborhood school or apply to attend a school outside of your attendance zone (called intradistrict choice) or outside the district (interdistrict choice). The application period to transfer is from December through mid-February.
Under the federal No Child Left Behind law, students attending a Title I school designated as "in need of improvement" have the right to attend a higher-performing school in the district.In Utah your child can attend any school in your district (called intradistrict choice) or an adjoining district (interdistrict choice). In the latter case, the policy is mandatory only when enrollment is below the threshold established by the state board. Students can also attend charter schools. The Carson Smith Special Needs Scholarship program offers students with disabilities the opportunity to attend private school using scholarships.
