Moving to the Salt lake area

I just moved here from Alaska myself and have found that there are pockets of great areas all over the valley. It really depends on what type of home you like. I hate those split level homes, and I really do not like cookie-cutter neighborhoods, which you will find in the "fancy" parts of town. I know most people will tell you that the best, nicest, safest area is Cottonwood Heights, Sandy, and Draper. But.... Its UTAH for the love of God, the so-called "worst" neighborhoods are most cities "nice side of town"... The cotton wood Heights school district is the "best" but no matter where you live the public schools in Utah are CROWDED, too many people have too many kids and they take up too much space. I have my boys in Private school for this reason. I live in Taylorsville I LOVE IT. The homes are all brick, it's an established area, super close to everything like the freeways and great "cultural" area near by in Kearns. I love authentic Mexican food, and being so close to Kearns, its Awesome.66680
