Sky View is a great school. There is a diverse selection of courses to take. The teachers and counselors can be very accommodating. Sport events are very well attended and school spirit is high. The only problem I have is with the academics. Though there are some rigorous classes like the AP or USU ones, the majority of the classes are very laid back and don't require mu,ch work. I used to go to school in Gilbert, AZ where there were many honors classes to take, so I am used to school being much more rigorous. Here, however, if I want more challenging classes, the only option I have is college-level classes. I think these are great for preparing for college, but filling a schedule with them results in a super busy schedule with tons of homework. So I basically have to choose between super easy boring classes and very difficult rigorous classes. I could balance between the two, but then I will be spending all my time on the hard ones and blow off the others completely. I wish that the normal classes were more rigorous or that the school offered something like honors classes. I kind-of ranted on about class-rigor, but even with the issues there, Sky View is a great school overall.

Great learning, values, teachers, athletics... Our kids love it here and we've been very pleased with their progress.

Sky View is a near-perfect school, you'll never find a better one! The only problem with the school is that sports are held way higher than any academic activity and athletic kids get breaks from many grade disputes. The school though is extremely clean and the teachers are amazing! Would suggest to anyone!

Overall a very good school, with a lot of opportunities for students to excell and advance to higher level collage or business classes. it would be better if the starting time was a llittle later. have an exceptional special ed program, and the kids at the school are very gracious and friendly to those students with disabilites or special challenges.

Sky View High is one of the best schools out there. Teachers are friendly, Students are amazing, and the complete atmosphere is extremely positive! The best thing for me about this school, is the Band and music department. The Marching band is ultra amazing! Great friendships are created and established through this simple activity. The Band director is super nice, and understands what each students need is. She is really fun, and us students are great friends with her. She has changed how most of us see music, and the whole experience is will remain in my mind for the rest of my life!

In great shape- especially for an older school. Student body is over-all friendly and most of the teachers seem to know and enjoy teaching.

I personally think that skyview is a great school and i agree with the parent that commented on the whole 'popularity' thing with the cheerleaders. I dont think it is right... i have had some friends go through the cheerleading tryout thing and they were amazing ... better then some of the girls on the squad, and i am sad to say she didnt make it just because she was not 'popular' enough to be on the team. She is an awesome cheerleader and it lowerd her self esteem immensly. I hope that soon some day we can change this rule and make it right. But other then that ... the school is awesome i love it.

Sky View is overall a pretty good school but the principal doesn't seem to want to deal with many of the problems and although the band and marching band program was really great at one time, it no longer seems to be since they got the new band director. I believe this program is really on the 'downslide' and it's just sad!

Great school, lots of opportunities and clubs. Would like to see somethings change: 'popularity' contest for the girls trying out for cheer. Ability should be first and seniors should NOT have a vote as they use their votes not for pride in their school but to make a 'joke' out of some of these brave girls. Also, more parental input that is actually listened to...not just a pat on the head and words they think we want to hear. This schools has the best students, great teachers and 'some' awesome administration. Just been here one year but somethings could definitely be changed instead of the old excuse 'this is how we have always done it'....time change, I hope before my last one is graduated.
