I feel this school has some excellent teachers and staff. Having said that I think the school would be better if the younger classes had an aid to help the teachers. It's difficult to keep children up on their level if the teacher doesn't know what level they are on, this would be better addressed with more help in the classroom. I would also like to see more options for extracurricular activities for the younger grades. I have a first grader and there are none that I have heard of. I also think the home reading program needs improvement, it seems that many of the students were in the wrong level last year. I know my child was frustrated because she had a hard time reading the books in the level she was given, we finally stopped participating. The school is OK but it could be better.

This is a fantastic school! All 10 teachers that I have had contact with have been very good at what they teach and very eager to help the children learn. They allow parents to be very involved in their child's education. There are many extracurricular activities for the children to participate in, and they are getting more fun activities each year. The children feel safe and loved by the staff. My children are way ahead in reading and math, and I know that much of it has to do with the enthusiasm of their teachers and the good curriculum. Bravo, Art City!!

There are some excellent teachers at this school; however, There is an undercurrent of old-school negativism toward children who are bright but have learning or behavioral problems due to ADHD, etc. If your child has issues, Please do not send them to this school as they will not get any help with learning at their level--they will most likely get sent to in-school suspension and the like when they are frustrated and act out. Choose a charter or private school. Or check other districts that have programs and options for children with special needs.

This is a wonderful school. The teachers are great and they actually let the parents be involved in our children's education. They listen to the concerns of parents and actually respond to these concerns. This school gives a lot of homework (4th grade and up) and you do real, traditional math here, unlike Alpine and Provo school districts. I have never had to deal with the principal, the teachers have always handled everything exceptionally well. My children are actually challenged here, they are no longer 'breezing' through. They are actually learning something. This school has great programs for accelerated learning. School is no longer a waste of their time. They love school and love their teachers.
