Syracuse Elementary is a wonderful school. The school has wonderful teachers that really care about the students. The PTA is very involved. My children feel really safe at the school.

Number one is their Anti-bullying program and they are firm on the consequences. Students and teachers are trained to identify all aspects of bullying behavior and what to do. This makes our kids feel safe and comfortable, they enjoy coming to school, their self esteem improves and they in-turn, do better in school. Until you have seen a school without this program in place and a good principal to uphold it's guidelines, you won't know the important and positive changes this program creates. I wish more schools would adopt this program and uphold the consequences. Too many other schools and teachers turn their heads (I've seen it too often) and the victims truly suffer and don't want to go to school. Syracuse Elementary does phenomenal in this area. The principal (Laura Bond)is very involved. Most of the teachers are excellent, although a couple seem too stressed or unfocused.
